The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) is proposing to extend volatility controls to cover extended trading hours. Updates to its Guidance on Marketplace Thresholds and Guidance on Single-Stock Circuit Breakers clarify how these controls would apply outside regular trading hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Comments are due by November 12, 2026.
