The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) is proposing to reduce the standard deadline for responding to investor complaints from 90 to 60 days, aligning the rest of Canada with Quebec. The proposed change follows longstanding calls from investor advocacy groups for faster complaint resolution. Comments on the proposed guidance must be submitted in writing by January 27, 2027.
