Scholarships

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”– Benjamin Franklin

The ACCP recognizes the benefits of higher education, especially in preparation for a career in the financial services industry. Fostering the next generation of Compliance professionals is important to our organization to ensure our Canadian Compliance community continues to grow and adapt to this ever-changing, ever-increasing regulatory environment.

Annually, the “Association of Canadian Compliance Professionals Student Scholarship” awards a scholarship amount to a deserving student in Seneca College’s Financial Services Compliance Administration program.

Beginning in 2021, the “Association of Canadian Compliance Professionals Entrance Bursary” was introduced as an additional annual scholarship.

Congratulations to our past recipients for their hard work and dedication!

Stephanie McManus Award

The Stephanie McManus Award, formerly known as the ACCP Annual Achievement Award, was renamed in loving memory of Stephanie McManus, a long‑time ACCP member, former ACCP Chair, and a deeply respected leader who passed away in January 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Stephanie’s unwavering dedication, generosity of spirit, and passion for the ACCP left an indelible mark on the organization and on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

For ten meaningful years, this award honoured ACCP members whose commitment and service reflected the values Stephanie embodied so naturally: leadership, collaboration, and a heartfelt belief in giving back. Each recipient represented a continuation of her legacy of service and excellence.

The Stephanie McManus Award was retired at the end of 2025, closing a decade of celebrating extraordinary contributions to the ACCP. Although the award itself is no longer presented, Stephanie McManus will forever hold a place of honour within the ACCP community. Her legacy lives on through the organization she helped shape and the many individuals she inspired.

We proudly recognize the final recipients in 2025, the ACCP Board of Directors, for their tireless dedication and the countless hours they generously volunteer in service of the ACCP.
